This foundatain was built in Central Park to commemorate Emily Margaret Waddell in 1914. Mrs Waddell died in 1908 and stipulated in her will that if her husband remarried he would have to donate 10,000 dollars to the City for construction of a fountain. He remarried and donated the funds to build the memorial fountain.
